2015 Review: Sounds of the Season

7th Inning Stretch LogoWith 2015 coming to a close, what better way to ring in the New Year than to reminisce about the greatness that was the Blue Jays 2015 season.

It was a year full of memories, most notably in the final two months into the playoff run that ended in Game 6 of the ALCS in Kansas City.

You might want to bundle up to neutralize the shivers from all the goosebumps; here are my Top 10 moments, and how they sounded on TV and radio.

  1. Wednesday April 15

Kevin Pillar shows the first flashes that he, not Clark Kent, is Superman.

  1. Tuesday September 1

After Roberto Osuna blew just his second save of the season, it was up to the light-hitting middle infielder to lift the Blue Jays passed the Indians.

    8. Monday September 21

Brett Cecil relieved Aaron Sanchez, gave up a single to Jacoby Ellsbury, cut the Blue Jays lead to 4-1. Tying run at the plate, 2 men on, Gardner-Rodriguez-McCann due up.

In what will go down as a Top-5, or even Top-3 “Best Playoff Pitching Performances in Franchise History”, Marco Estrada mowed down the Royals for 7.2 innings, allowing just a run on 3 hits, striking out 5. And the Dome erupted when Gibby went out to get him in the 8th.
