The Blue Jays sported five different jerseys this season, with three standard uniform caps and five specialty caps. You can see the game-by-game breakdown here. Some fun with the stats from all the different combos:
- The Jays wore their alternate blue jersey in nearly half their games, 46% of the time.
- In total, they wore an alternate jersey in 110 of 162 games (68%).
- The highest winning percentage in overall jerseys was grey (.633)
- The lowest winning percentage was powder blue (.519), which means the team had a winning record in every jersey. Even red!
- When broken down to home/road splits, the highest winning percentage moves to powder at home (.647), and the lowest was powder on the road (.300 – the only losing combo).
- The team went 1-2 when wearing the white panel alternate hat. All three games were started by Alek Manoah.
- Overall, they were 4-5 when not wearing the “standard” hats (blue, dark blue, and red).

It feels likely the Jays will go heavy on the blue jerseys when the playoffs begin. They finished the regular season wearing the blue tops seven of their final eight games.
If Manoah starts Game 1, blue jerseys are a lock. He wore them in 24 of his 31 starts.
Gausman had a good mix but was partial to the dark blues as his most popular jersey (12 of 30), including his final two starts, which were both at home, and both wins.
If Stripling starts Game 3, we could see him going with blue as well. He stuck with the traditional white/grey for most of the season, a combined 16 of his 24 starts. But in his last two home starts, he sported the blue, and both ended with the Jays winning.
In 2020, they wore grey once and powder blue once.
In 2016, they wore blue in 8 of 9 games (the lone holdout was Game 3 at home against Cleveland).
In 2015, they wore white for Game 1 of the ALDS against Texas, but when they lost, they went with blue in each of the next 10 games.
